Engagement: Emily + Tim

Emily and Tim was one of the most adorable couple that I’ve met. It was just so cute to see them together and saw the way they interacted with each other.

Emily was from Maryland, but Tim was from New Hampshire. So how did they meet? I’m pretty sure you some of you have guessed correctly by looking at the first photo here. Yes, they both met together in college at Universtiy of Maryland at College Park.

Tim and Emily actually never met until their senior year. They had a mutual friend who used to live on the same floor as Tim during their freshmen year. One night their friend invited both of them to hang out with other friends. Afterward, Tim walked Emily back home so that she would not be alone in the dark. What a gentleman!

They were just friends back then. However, few months later, Emily and few other friends took a road trip to New Hampshire to visit Tim during spring break. Emily and Tim’s relationship grew closer and finally started dating officially. Their first date was at Franklin’s, a brewery/toy store near the campus. Unfortunately, the place had been non-existent now. Nevertheless, the memory remains with them πŸ™‚

Since they had a lot of memories at the University of Maryland campus, they wanted to do their engagement session there. It wasn’t the first time for me to do engagement session at a college campus, but it was my first time to do it at UM. I always got excited to do a photo session or wedding at a new place. πŸ™‚

Wedding: Elaine + Michael

Elaine and Michael is a cute couple that just love animals. I told about their favorite places to go and how they were integral to their relationship when I posted their engagement photo session at the Washington DC National Zoo.

I was happy that I finally was able to photograph their wedding at a gorgeous and serene location, the Harbourtowne Golf Resort at St. Michaels, Maryland. It was a really nice waterfront golf resort for a getaway from the city.

If you check the aerial shot of the resort from the venue’s Web site, you can see that the area is surrounded by water, which is part of the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Engagement: Rachael + Giovanni

Giovanni had known Rachael and her brother since they were little. Although Rachael and Giovanni used to live in the same neighborhood, they never really talked to each other until they finally met at a bar in New Jersey in 2008. Even though they each went there separately with their own groups of friends to watch the Phillies baseball game, they made their first real connection there. Then the rest is history. πŸ™‚

Although their wedding ceremony would be held in Maryland, I was really excited when they decided to do their pre-wedding session in Philadelphia, since I have never done any in that city. I’m always excited to do a photo session in a new place whether it’s for engagement session or for wedding. πŸ™‚

Engagement: Ashmit + Rachna

Ashmit was from Canada, and Rachna lived in Maryland. How did the two meet?

Well during one Christmas-New Year holiday, Ashmit was in Canada with his families. Concerned that Ashmit had no girlfriend yet, his families insisted him to check out an Indian dating site and register. The site was called Shaadi, which was pretty much like Match.com but for Indians. Ashmit was reluctant at first, but he finally gave it a try. After two days of registering, he decided to check out on some profiles and found Rachna. He started chatting with her and apparently they could connect. Rachna actually had signed up longer but never met anyone that she was interested with until she met Ashmit. They were lucky that Ashmit’s job required him to work in DC so that he would be close to where Rachna is.

After listening to their story, I immediately concluded that these two are meant to be together. πŸ™‚

Family: DeMarco

Introducing DeMarco Family, who came all the way from New York to get their family picture done here by me. πŸ™‚

I met them the first time through Natali and Nick’s wedding at the Tremont Grand. At the wedding they told me how beautiful Natali and Nick’s pictures were from the engagement session at Washington DC and the engagement session at Old Town Alexandria. They said that they would be interested in doing a family session with me some day.

Finally, their wish came to realization this Spring!

Wedding: Jenna + Michael, Part 2

Although I’m not a big fan of a cold weather, I was actually glad that the Bride and Groom, Jenna and Michael, chose to have their wedding in winter.Β  Although, it probably won’t look like a winter wedding without the snow. Fortunately, we were in luck that day because they got what they wished for, a white wedding. πŸ™‚

This image below is one of my favorite from the day.

Wedding: Jenna + Michael, Part 1

While Jenna and Michael’s engagement photo session at Annapolis was done during a mild November temperature, their wedding at The Ballroom at Chesapeake Inn at Chesapeake City was on a cold wintry January weather. It had also snowed few days before, which was actually perfect because they wished for a white wedding. πŸ™‚
