Our way of socializing has sure changed in the past 10-20 years. Internet has become major medium for our social life. Friends and families can stay connected online, and it’s especially helpful for those that live relatively far from each other. For others, it is a way for getting to know new friends. For some, it is a way to find someone who will be your soul mate. I’ve had few couples that met online. Lili and Nigel are one of them. I would say, they are one of the few lucky ones that could connect and go forward with their relationship.
Engagement: Jessica + Juan
Jessica and Juan knew each other since high school, but weren’t really together until almost 2 years ago. Juan was in MCRD San Diego training Recruits to be Future Marines. Jessica was in Maryland. So they had a long distance relationship for 1.5 years. Jessica had to travel a lot to meet Juan, sometimes for just a few short hours during the whole trip. However, it means the world to both of them to be able to see each other, face to face, and not just hearing voice or seeing video image on Skype.
This was why they wanted to do the engagement session at Reagan National Airport in Washington DC. Traveling had been a big part of their relationship.
But let’s start from the beginning of the session where Juan was wearing his military uniform. π

Engagement: Shannon + Brent
Shannon and Brent used to live in Baltimore. In fact, that’s where they met the first time. These places in the pictures below are places where they usually hang out and enjoy their time together. They have lots of memories in these places, so they wanted to do their engagement session at Federal Hill Park and at Mother’s Federal Hill Grille restaurant and bar.

Engagement: Lori + Will
This would be my first engagement session for 2011. π
Lori and Will wanted to have their pre-wedding photo session during winter, when it was still cold and a bit Christmas-y… πΒ We were hoping for some snow on the ground, but the snow from about 2 weeks before had already melt. Luckily, it was cold again that that day because the weather kind of fluctuates during that week.
So here are some of my favorites. π

Wedding: Joanne + Chuck
You may remember the engagement session of a couple who likes sailing. Well now the couple, Joanne and Chuck, have sailed away into a different chapter in their life. A chapter that they will write together as a married couple.
But let’s go back to the beginning of the day…

Dan Henry First of all congrats to the couple and congrats to the photographer for providing such beautiful and memorable pictures. All the pictures are truly spontaneous and make us feel as we are there and attending the wedding. Great work!

Engagement: Dinda + Gregg
Just when I thought it’s already December and thus wouldn’t do anymore photo session, suddenly I get a “last minute” call from Gregg who wanted to do an engagement session. We had to monitor the weather forecast and picked the “best” day out of that week. It was cold, but not too bad. π
I had suggested Annapolis to do their pre-wedding photo session. I’m glad they liked the environment there. π
Anyway, here are some of favorites from Gregg and Dinda.

Engagement: Kelsey + Jonnie
The first time I met Kelsey was at Brittany and Dan’s wedding at Kent Island, but she said that she had been looking at my work since she saw Britanny and Dan’s Kent Island engagement session. We then became friends through Facebook. I met Jonnie the first time during our meeting to go over my portfolio, album and packages.
I had a feeling back then (during Brittany and Dan’s wedding) that Kelsey was a nice and fun person, and I was right! π Then during the session I found that both Jonnie and Kelsey are simply a nice, fun, loving and adorable couple.Β Check out the images below and you’ll see what I mean. π That’s why when they said that they wanted me to be their wedding photographer, I couldn’t be more excited! π
By the way, their wedding is on a specific date which will be shown below, but first, you’re welcome to figure out the date. Hints will be given. π

Engagement: Joanne + Chuck
Joanne and Chuck are kind, patient, and yet can be goofy sometime. At least that’s my impression on our first meeting and after spending few hours with them during the engagement session. You can also see from these images below how they love and care for each other. π

Engagement: Jennifer + Ryan
Jennifer and Ryan met the first time during high school years at a drive thru at a fast food restaurant. Hint: it’s not a burger nor chicken restaurant. π Then they went to college together.
Finally in Spring this year, Ryan proposed to Jennifer during fireworks at Disney World. It sure seemed like a magical moment! Way totally different than the drive thru π
This engaged couple share a lot of common interests. They love the water and seafood. They especially love a particular seafood which you’ll see from the pictures below.

Mindy + Lemon
Here is Mindy and her horse pet, Lemon. π
Mindy and I have been wanting to do a photo session for over a year (I think), but never got a chance until just recently. Thank goodness for the great weather for that day on autumn. Not to mention I just love the foliage colors in Fall. So the timing was actually perfect. π
Lemon was 6 years old, which Mindy told me that’s about teenager for horse’s age. Lemon used to be a race horse and raced at Penn National.Β Mindy got her after she was retired from racing due to injury. Bless Mindy’s heart. π
