Wedding: Aaron + Justin

May 27th, 2010

Here’s my first wedding for 2010, which was in late January. The weather wasn’t too bad for a winter wedding, as you can see from their clothing.

The ceremony was at Hope Fellowship Church, Chestertown, MD.

Here’s the bride and groom, Aaron and Justin, exiting the church and greeted by the guests with bubbles. :)

Engagement: Holli + Mike

May 25th, 2010

This was my second photo session on that same day in December 2009. Luckily, the weather was warm enough that afternoon, so we didn’t need to use bulky jackets or overcoats. :)

Holli and Mike found me through Google. They liked the idea of doing engagement session with urban or city background since their wedding would be on a different theme. They agreed to do the pre-wedding photo session at Annapolis downtown harbor.

Here are some of my favorite images.

Engagement: Ali + Nic

May 18th, 2010

Moving on to December 2009. :)

Ali and Nic found me through WeddingWire. They like the pre-wedding photo session with urban scenery setting I did with Brianne and Jeremy.

If I remember correctly, they originally wanted to do the engagement session at Georgetown, Washington DC. However, I offered them to do it at Annapolis downtown and Eastport. They liked the idea since not only they would be getting a city setting, but they would also have the harbor or water in the background as well.

I was already booked that afternoon for another engagement session, so I offered them to do it early in the morning. Although, the temperature was quite pleasant in the afternoon, it was still pretty chilly in the morning. Well it was December. :)

Anyway, here are some of my favorite shots.

Engagement: Nicole + Kirk

May 13th, 2010

Here is the third photo session on the same day. You can see the other two session below this post.

It was a beautiful day on November, sunny and very warm. Pretty unusual for that time of the season. That’s why I got three bookings on the same day. :) It was also the reason that the park where we went to do the engagement session was crowded, which was also unusual for that late in the year. The pre-wedding portrait session was at Federal Hill Park in Baltimore city.

I had never been there before, so that was my first time ever. It sure was a nice park on an elevated part of the city. You can see the surrounding areas including the Raven’s football stadium and the Baltimore harbor.

Here are a few of my favorite images from Nicole and Kirk’s e-session.

Children: Helena + Vivian

May 11th, 2010

I got a last minute call from a family whom I photographed the past summer (same year). They wanted me to do another session on Tilghman Island, but just the children this time.  They wanted the pictures for Christmas.

Unfortunately, they could only do it on the same day where I already had two sessions! However, the first session with Adele the book writer, was very early in the morning, and the engagement session would be late in the afternoon. So I was able to squeeze in another session for that day later in the morning, which works pretty well for all of us.

Commercial Work: Adele

May 6th, 2010

OK. After going off the beaten path of trying to post in chronological order by posting recent works, now I’m back on track continuing from where I left off, the family portrait session from last November.

Only about a month after I did my commercial work for the Crazy Chick Salon, I got a call from Adele. She was referred to me by Becky, the owner of the salon. Adele said that I was highly recommended. That made me smile from ear to ear. :D

Adele wanted a few portraits of her in a natural setting, not studio, for her Web site and her book “The Legend of the Seahawk”. She wanted to have the images as soon as possible. We had agreed to a shoot date. However, because of the weather, it had to be postponed to another date in November. I already had another client on that day for an engagement session. Fortunately, it was in the afternoon. So I was able to do the session with Adele very early in the morning to get the morning sunlight.

Here are some of my favorite images.
