Raisa and Michael are another couple that also met through work. However, it’s not the typical place like a corporate office like you might think. They met in the Army.
As you know, if you’re in the military, you will move around a lot. However, they wanted to do the engagement photo session in Maryland, because it is where they met, became friends, and fell in love.
They finally picked Brookside Gardens to do the pre-wedding pictures.
Here are some of my favorite images.

Denise and Rich originally wanted to do their engagement photo session during the Cherry Blossoms at Washington DC. However, due to the weather forecast on that day, it had to be postponed. After going through a lot of site options, we finally agreed to do it at Glen Echo Park at Glen Echo, Maryland.
We were glad that we did it there. It was a really unique place. It also brought back memories to Denise who went there when she was little.

Nicole and Brandon met each other a long time ago. In fact, they’re high school sweethearts
That actually reminds me of someone else, well… yours truly…
Anyway, that’s where Nicole and Brandon met, and they have been together ever since.

Brandon is an artist (graphic designer, painter, etc) and he plays guitar too! He is also a photographer. I always feel honored being trusted by another photographer to do their engagement and/or wedding pictures.

During Ashlee’s birthday, Matt proposed to Ashlee at New York Times Square, right in the middle of the crowd. That sure takes some guts! Way to go, Matt!

By the way, do you know what that obelisk shape reflected on the water is?
I’m pretty sure most of you know what that is.
If not, the answer is below.

Our way of socializing has sure changed in the past 10-20 years. Internet has become major medium for our social life. Friends and families can stay connected online, and it’s especially helpful for those that live relatively far from each other. For others, it is a way for getting to know new friends. For some, it is a way to find someone who will be your soul mate. I’ve had few couples that met online. Lili and Nigel are one of them. I would say, they are one of the few lucky ones that could connect and go forward with their relationship.

Jessica and Juan knew each other since high school, but weren’t really together until almost 2 years ago. Juan was in MCRD San Diego training Recruits to be Future Marines. Jessica was in Maryland. So they had a long distance relationship for 1.5 years. Jessica had to travel a lot to meet Juan, sometimes for just a few short hours during the whole trip. However, it means the world to both of them to be able to see each other, face to face, and not just hearing voice or seeing video image on Skype.
This was why they wanted to do the engagement session at Reagan National Airport in Washington DC. Traveling had been a big part of their relationship.

But let’s start from the beginning of the session where Juan was wearing his military uniform.
