When Mary asked me to be the photographer for Erin and Sean’s birthday last month, I was so excited. I loved taking pictures of children birthdays. I sure enjoyed capturing their happiness, laughter, and all their expressions.

It was actually the first time we went to the carnival. The carnival is held every summer hosted by the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department. If it was not for promoting our school, KICS, we probably wouldn’t go there.
No, wait, I take that back. We did plan to go to the carnival, but because of the KICS event, it solidified our plan.
Marcell, met several friends there, and did few rides together. The parents mostly just took them to whatever ride they wanted and watched them. My wife and I enjoyed the funnel cake though. It was always one of our favorite food during carnivals or any outdoor events.

I was asked by the principal to be the official photographer for the school’s Grandparents Day back in May. It was an honor for me to do it. I did both fun-posed style and candid style (capturing their activity).

After a full week of SAT, the school wanted to give the students a little treat. So they did something a little different. They did the lunch outside and give pizza and ice cream to everyone. Yum! They also had some games right after lunch.
“I love my drink.”

Ugh, it’s been so hectic for me that I barely had time to update my blog. Yes, it’s soo behind. But I really do intend to get it catch up with the more recent events. I’ve been so busy with my business. Which is actually good.
Anyway, here are some images from my son’s birthday. He’s 6 years old now.
This was back in March. It was raining on and off on that day. There were some gusty winds as well. It was unfortunate for us because we had planned to setup a moonbounce. The guy we rented from told us to take down the moonbounce once it started raining. We could get it up again if the rain stopped. We had to take it down and get it up twice that day.

My blog has finally come to full circle. Well, sort of. Meaning that this won’t be last post of course.
The first post on this blog started just after I covered this gala event. Now I’m posting about the coverage for the event, 1st Annual After the Holidays Gala, hosted by The Tapestry Church.
The gala was held at the Cross Creek Golf Club in Beltsville, Maryland, a pretty nice venue. The intention for the gala was to raise fund for building churches in Mexico, Kenya, and Nepal. So they had several different programs for fund raising. At the end, the guests were invited to dance. It was an entertaining session for sure! We get to see the dance “experts” do their moves.
I also like the song selections from the DJ. In fact, they “imported” the DJ from California. Way to go! Well actually, the DJ happened to be visiting the DC area.
The event coordinator wanted me to take pictures of each incoming guests. So I setup a small studio in a corner with lighting and background for formal portraits session. I also had to cover candids (photojournalistic style) as the event unfold. My favorite coverage is actually during the dance session. I sure had fun!
