Steve and Caitlin met in medical school. He asked her out on several dates for sometime after that, but she didn’t take him seriously until he surprised her with a Valentine’s Day note.
Fast forward to 2.5 months later, they were supposed to be going to the beach to help his sister and partner picked out their rehearsal dinner venue. Before dinner, Caitlin and Steve were going to look at the sandcastle contest, but the next thing she knew they were alone at the beach, which was where he proposed. The best part was that Steve had gotten Caitlin’s family there as well so that they could all celebrate together.
The Venue: Chesapeake Bay Beach Club
Choosing the venue was a pretty easy decision for the couple. Steve and Caitlin immediately fell in love with the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. From the moment they walked into the venue, they felt comfortable and cared for by their coordinator and the entire staff. Caitlin and Steve knew they would run the night seamlessly and went beyond their expectations. That doesn’t even mention how amazing the food was! It was a perfect weekend and they had amazing experiences with each vendors from beginning to the end.
Caitlin is really fond of lavenders and know that she only wanted this particular flower for her wedding. The bouquets were all DIY project. 🙂
Even the guest table assignment cards were accented with lavenders.
Lovely wedding gown from Russell’s Formal designed by Casablanca.
The lovely Tavern Ballroom adorned with DIY decorations using rustic lanterns with candles.
Mother of the Bride tying handkerchief from Bride’s christening onto the inside of her wedding dress for the “something old” element.
Caitlin’s first look with her Father was witnessed by her Mother and Grandmother.
Caitlin’s Grandmother was very proud to see her granddaughter became a beautiful Bride and ready to start her own family.
Steve could not hold his emotion when he saw Caitlin for the first time walking down the aisle.
Always a breathtaking water view of the bay from the ceremony site from the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.
The Groom and Groomsmen wearing their favorite sport team socks.
The parent dances that includes the Father-Daughter dance and Mother-Son dance were filled with lots of laughter.
The live music band, Millennium from Washington Talent Agency, did a great job singing and entertaining the newly-wed couple and all the guests!
I love getting this moment of the Groom dancing with his Grandmother.
The maid of honors showing their catches from the money dance.
Congratulations Caitlin and Steve!
May you live happily ever after! 🙂
