While it was fun to do Tara and Rob’s engagement photography session at Georgetown, Washington DC, I also had fun photographing their wedding at the gorgeous Eastern Shore Maryland waterfront venue, Aspen Wye River Conference Centers.
One of the interesting thing about their wedding were the theme they picked! The decorations, the Bride’s wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses, shoes, and everything else were inspired from the beautiful art deco era which was made famous again by the latest Gatsby movie remake, starring Leonardo de Caprio. However, Tara had this idea before the movie came out and became popular.
Love the beautiful art deco style head band! 🙂
Check out these beautiful table centerpieces with white and pastel color roses by Mobtown Florals.
Even the wedding dress matches the art deco theme. Check out the beautiful lace details!
I love capturing moments during getting ready because not only it shows the hustle bustle and preparation for the big day, but also all the emotions and relationship between the Bride and Groom with their family and close friends.
Lovely art deco style shoes for the Bride. 🙂
The Father of the Bride would like to meet his daughter in her wedding gown before they walk down the aisle.
I love that the Tara and Rob also wanted to do a first reveal before the ceremony. There’s always some surprising and cute expressions during first glance of the Bride and the Groom.
It’s cute that they used library cards for the table placement cards.
They provided comfy art deco style blankets for the wedding favors.
Gorgeous box for guests signature cards. They also displayed wedding photos of their parents, grandparents and, even great grandparents.
Then finally it’s time for the ceremony.
Apparently it wasn’t easy for Tara to put the wedding band on Rob’s finger. 🙂
Finally they’re officially husband and wife!
Check out my awesome socks! 😀
The beautiful library room at the Riverhouse was a perfect backdrop for their art deco themed wedding.
Check out this plant arch with vines and roses inside suspended glass bulbs.
Here was one of their delicious selections of hor d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour.
The Bride’s flower bouquet was using feathers as well.
When the Bride and Groom finally was introduced by the DJ and entered the dance floor, suddenly they got showered by heart-shaped confetti from above! How cute!
I love capturing all the emotions going on during their first dance. You can see how they love each other very much. 🙂
Here was the wedding cake by Fiona’s Cake, which was also decorated to match the art deco style.
They had these cute kiwi bird cake toppers made with lace.
The Father of the Bride gave speech, telling a summary of Tara’s milestone from when she was born until she became an adult, met Rob, and finally got married.
Next was parent dance, starting with the Father-of-the-Bride and daughter dance,
and followed by the Mother-of-the-Groom and son dance.
Some of the guests were playing spin the bottle during the open dance floor. Whoever got pointed by the bottle had to dance in the middle of the circle. Unfortunately, I was one of the victim as well. 😀
Here is Chris from C&J Entertaiment mixing music for the guests to enjoy. 🙂
Time to cut the delicious wedding cake!
Then everyone gets to enjoy the rest of the evening and dance until the end. 🙂
Congratulations Tara and Rob!
May you live happily ever after! 🙂
