Yes, I’m late again posting this blog for the same lame excuse, busy with work. But hey, at least I post it. :p

This was a Valentine’s Day celebration at Kent Island Christian School. The school called it “Love Your Neighbors Day”.

Snow Day on Kent Island

April 14th, 2009

The winter has been mostly warm during the beginning of the season until finally it snowed one day in January. The snow wasn’t high, but schools including Queen Anne’s County decided to close anyway.  Marcell joined Camden for sledding at the K-Mart Stevensville Park and Ride. There were slopes surrounding the parking lot. The place had been a common place for sledding. Marcell also met new friends, Cooper and Jake.

The family portrait session was on November 1st in Kent Island, Maryland. We were so lucky (i.e. blessed) that it was warm on that day, because just a few days before, it was pretty cold.

Steph asked me whether their clothes should be color coordinated. I said that it’s not necessary, but would be better if they could. It turned out that she did a great job picking the colors for the whole family. The colors sure matched the fall season color palette. :)

Here is the second part of the day.

The children went outside again to play some games.  They were divided into three teams.  In the first game, the children were paired with a team member on their back and had to run sideways to the finish line before the next pair could run.

Kent Island Christian School doesn’t really celebrate Halloween. Therefore, they designate the day as Special Characters Day. Children cannot wear monster (scary) costumes, villains, and rock stars. Historical character, good guys, and biblical characters are allowed. Last year, it used to be limited to just biblical characters.

I’m starting to use the “read more” feature for the blog since there are so many photos I want to share, especially on this one. I’ll let you decide whether you want to see the rest of the photos or not. :) Another benefit of using the feature is that readers can browse through and find a particular post quickly without having have to go through all the photos.

Anyway, here are the children getting ready to do the parade around the school ground.

Birthday: Erin+Sean, Part 1

November 13th, 2008

When Mary asked me to be the photographer for Erin and Sean’s birthday last month, I was so excited. I loved taking pictures of children birthdays. I sure enjoyed capturing their happiness, laughter, and all their expressions.

The Girl Next Door, Hannah

November 6th, 2008

When my neighbor was renovating their house, one of the contractor guy brought along his dog, a female siberian husky. Her name was Hannah. She was an energetic dog yet friendly. She was very strong also. Her owner, Gary said that he always had to hold her leash really strong because she could really pull you. No wonder they were used for sled dogs. :)

Gary, allowed me to pet her and take her pictures. Fortunately, she was not camera shy at all. Believe it or not, there were some dogs that were camera shy or most probably feel awkward having a camera “stared” at them. :)

Kent Island Cross Island Trail

October 21st, 2008

One morning in June, I decided to take Marcell to the Cross Island Trail, which is in Kent Island. A lot of people run, walk, or ride a bike there. It was actually my first time there. Yeah, I know. Shame on me, right? :P Well I had meant to do it since… well, a few years ago… but never got a chance to do it. In other words, never really put effort into making a plan to do it. :P

It was a spur of the moment decision, but we’re glad we went there. We saw beautiful or strange-looking wild flowers, plants and trees. We heard the birds singing. We even enjoyed the warm sun rays squeezing its way through the tree leaves and branches on that slightly chilly morning.
