I had a great time capturing Brad and Lynsey’s devotion during their engagement photo session at River Creek Club, Leesburg, Virginia, especially when – as an added bonus – they brought their beloved cute dog, Weegle. And I was really excited when I found out that they were going to include Weegle in their wedding ceremony!
The Venue: Aspen Wye River Conference Centers
Lynsey and Brad chose the Aspen Wye River Conference Centers because it was such a unique and beautiful venue. A truly hidden gem which not so many people have heard of.
One of the biggest draws as well was that the couple could rent out the entire property and had many of their guests to stay on site during the wedding weekend. Brad and Lynsey had wanted to be able to visit and hangout with all their friends and family throughout the weekend, hence with the Wye River Conference Centers’s amazing pools, event spaces and unique guest layout, this was easily achieved. It certainly created an aura of a private event, where they could have the rehearsal dinner, welcome pool party, ceremony and reception all at one place. It was really marvelous that the venue also allowed their dog to stay at their hotel room and take part during the ceremony.
It’s always nice to see that the Bride and Bridesmaids have custom made robes with their names or initials.
Love this beautiful pastel colored wedding bouquet designed by florist Intrigue Design and Decor.
Their dog Weegle is ready for action!
Bride’s first look with Dad is always a touching moment, even for the onlookers of the family and the Bridesmaids.
Due to the uncooperative weather, the ceremony had to be held under the tent, but we were lucky enough to get a break afterwards and were able to take some beautiful and fun outdoor pictures though it was still very cloudy.
Here are the Bride and Groom with all their family and guests!
The gorgeous flower chandelier provided a nice touch to the site decor for the ceremony.
After the rain had stopped, finally the Bride, Groom, and the Wedding party were able to pose under the open tent, which was previously covered on all the sides.
The handsome Groom with the Best Man and Groomsmen.
The beautiful Bride with her Maid of Honors and Bridesmaids.
The clouds which followed after the rain actually created a nice ambience to the landscape photo of the reception tent and the historic Houghton House.
The exquisite tall table centerpieces for the guests, the beautiful rose and orchid arrangements for the sweetheart table, and the floral chandelier were all created by the talented florist team of Intrigue Design and Decor.
The introduction by the band and the first dance of the newlywed couple marked the beginning of the reception.
The gorgeously designed cake was created by Julie Bakes.
There were a lot of actions and entertainments during the parent dance, especially since it was all impromptu performance.
I love seeing how their family are so close-knit and love each other dearly.
Lynsey, the Bridesmaids and some of her friends sang Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” on the stage.
They were really having fun that night! 🙂
Congratulations Brad and Lynsey!
May you live happily ever after! 🙂
