After I did Amanda and Eric’s family photo session on the Eastern Shore, I finally had the honor to photograph their wedding at Turf Valley, Ellicott City, MD this summer.
It was super hot that day, and if I remembered correctly, the heat index was in the triple digits. Of course it didn’t stop us from doing what we want to do. We just had to find a way around few things. The good thing was that the ceremony and reception were inside. The outdoor photo session had to be done later during the reception closer to sunset, instead of right after the ceremony. Even though it was close to sunset, it was still really hot! We were sweating like crazy.
Anyway, let’s check out what happened earlier in the day.
Here is the bride, Amanda, being helped by one of the Matron of Honor, Melynda, who was actually Amanda’s sister.
The bride with her matron of honors and the bridesmaids. π
Then off with the limo to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for the ceremony.
The groom, Eric, and his brother, Matt, was “hiding” in the sacristy preparing for the ceremony. Matt was the Best Man. So the Best Man and the Maid of Honor are respectively the groom and bride’s siblings. π
The ring bearer didn’t want to shake hand with the priest. π
And here comes the bride. π
Amanda’s flower bouquet was all white. π
The bridesmaid’s flower bouquets and their awesome belt accessories.
Matt and his mother, sang The Prayer. Yes, the very same song that was sung by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, and then Josh Groban.
Matt and Mary Ann sang beautifully. They had lovely voices. I was really touched hearing them singing the song. I wished I could hear them sing again.
As you can see, a lot of people were touched as well when they heard them singing, including Eric’s dad, John.
Then we all went to the wedding reception venue at Turf Valley.
The table setup…
and the pretty cake… π
This was what they did for the bridal party entrance. π
Then it’s time for the bride and groom to do their first dance. π
The delicious food! π
The Best Man, Matt was going over his speech one last time.
Then finally it’s time for the maid of honors and best man speeches.
Both Dad’s, including Jack, took a lot of videos.
Matt went down the memory lane reminding Eric their adventure together when they were little. Of course some were funny and some were embarrassing stories. π
And of course… some stories were emotional as well….
Then it’s time for the bride to dance with her Dad.
Marge was very happy to see her daughter and husband dancing.
Love you, Daddy…
Then it’s the groom’s turn to dance with his mother.
It was an emotional moment for the groom’s Dad, John.
Then finally it’s dance time! π
Amanda is ready to toss the bouquet to the girls… π
And we have a winner!
Then finally it’s garter toss time.
I want to give a shout out to my awesome second photographer, Kenneth Ko, who I always trust for capturing this kind of action shots. π
I didn’t hear what they said, but I can guess… π
Alright check out this sequence…
So nothing uncommon there, right? What’s different was this next one.
Yup, Amanda did it again the second time… π
Bam!
Anyway, we we all went out to do the bridal party shoot and the romantic session.
Aren’t they cute… π
Oh boy… :p
Eric was sandwiched by the ladies… π
Congratulations Amanda and Eric.. and of course Chase… π
May you all live happily ever after. π
