Late October last year, one of my friend asked me if I could take pictures of her children for comp cards. I said, “Sure!”
It was supposed to be in mid October but it rained that weekend, so we decided to postpone it to the next weekend.
We were lucky that the next weekend we got a good weather. Our prayers were answered! 🙂
The session was supposed to be at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, but for some reason there was a traffic backup at the Bay Bridge. Not sure what happened. I couldn’ get through and we’re running out of daylight. Fortunately, Heidy was kind enough to offer herself to drive to Kent Island. I found this small picnic park with a pond. We were lucky to get some fall colored trees as well.
Anyway, here’s Eva.
And… here’s Chris. 🙂
Eva was shy at first, but we just kept going. I gave some pointers for posing. She then became more comfortable and was able to came up with her own posing ideas.
For Chris… well that’s a different story. 😀
He basically wasn’t really comfortable being photographed. Either that or maybe because I was relatively new to him. So we had to do all kind of tricks to make him stay still, laugh, and look at the camera. It was very challenging, but we’re glad that it worked out as you can see in these pictures.
I’m also glad that Heidy brought her sister. She became the makeup artist, assistant, and posing consultant for the day. 😀
Heidy loved the results, showed it to everyone at work, and recommended me to her co-workers.
She wanted to enter Chris for Cute Kids photo, and both Eva and Chris for commercial photos.
I wish you the best, Heidy! 🙂
