Here’s the second part, the reception. Which is usually the fun part!

Amber and Israel’s wedding was back in June. Yes, I’m falling behind again on my blog. Well, there’s so much to do. Kinda hard doing everything myself you know. :p
Anyway, I met the couple for consultation months ahead. I’m happy when they finally decided to have me as their photographer.
One of the unique thing about their wedding is that they ordered a custom made Converse All Star canvas shoes for the bride, groom, groomsmen and bridesmaids. Notice that they even personalize their shoes with their names embroidered. Really cool!

Anyway, lets start from the beginning…
My Wife works with a Supervisor who is also the Founder of a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to support the children in India, specifically for school tuitions, stationeries and uniforms. He and his Team named the organization – Uplift a Child International.
Once a year, the organization conducts a gathering, which invites the people who sponsors the children, to give updates and to share information about the progress of the children. This year, one of the gatherings was held in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Here’s the second part of Naomi and Dhimas’ wedding, the reception, which is usually the fun part
As usual, the family members, groom party, and bridal party line up to get introduced to the guests. Here’s Nindya, Dhimas’ niece, in her Balinese dance costume, waiting for her turn to enter the ballroom.

After the engagement session in December, finally the beautiful wedding of Naomi and Dhimas was celebrated in May.
It was supposed to shower that afternoon. We all pray hard that it would not rain. Guess what? God listened to our prayer. We all felt so blessed that day.

It was one super chilly day on that day early in December. If I remember correctly, the temperature was at or below freezing point. On top of that, the wind was really gusty which made it worse. Of all the days, they had to pick that day for the engagement photo session. I thought, after the forecast, they were going to postpone it. Unfortunately not, the “show” had to go on. I became sick afterward.
Oh well, I had fun though. Naomi and Dhimas gave me few ideas, and I direct them. I sure appreciated getting original concept and ideas.
We started the session from Glenmont, Maryland.

What else can I say about Nathalia and Daniel. I’ve told about them few posts down. But like I said, they’re always goofing off and having fun, they made my job easier.
This wedding was in February 2008, in Silver Spring, Maryland, well, at least the ceremony. The reception was at Gaithersburg. Besides the images below, you can see the slideshow here.
Congrats Nathalia and Daniel!
