We had known Ribka for a long time through our church community. She had asked me to do her portait about a couple years ago, but we always had schedule conflicts. Not to mention that I was in the transition from film to digital. I wanted to photograph her in digital format, so that I don’t have to scan film negatives, because she wanted to display the pictures on online network sites.
The session was in July, at downtown Annapolis and the harbor. I remember that it was hot but not too bad. In fact, I think the whole summer wasn’t too bad. At least in Maryland and DC metro area. Not many code-orange days.
Ribka brought her friend, Santi, who wanted to tag along and took some pictures as well. Santi also wanted me to take her picture as well. 
Santi was also taking few pictures of Ribka.
